Enjoy cocktails and a full course dinner in a carefully, authentically refinished Frank Lloyd Wright home in the heart of the Frank Lloyd Wright historic district in Oak Park.  The house was built by Wright in 1906 after his trip to Kyoto, Japan.  The fusion of Japanese and Prairie styles of architecture make this house distinct from other Wright houses in the neighborhood, notably the Arthur Heurtley House, a national landmark, across the street.  Located on the property is a fully restored ticket booth from the 1893 Columbian Exposition, one of the last stand-alone structures remaining from the exposition (Devil in the White City anyone?).

Dinner will be prepared by up-and-coming chef and butcher Eric Wilson who has cooked at La Sardine and Publican Quality Meats in Chicago.  Dinner will be accompanied by a private tour of the home and a “sidewalk” introduction to other Wright houses in the neighborhood.

This dinner is to take place within one year of the Gala on a day of mutual convenience to the guests, the chef, and the homeowners.
